For Raisaheb Amarnath Kapoor money is more important than anything. It was for money that he neglected his wife to death. It was for money again that whenever his son Vicky cried he was given a spoonful of brandy and was looked after by the Raisaheb’s friend Munshiji. Certainly, as Vicky grew older, he took to bottles of liquor and fell for a dancer named Meena. Time changed. Raisaheb’’s partners cheated him and he lost heavily in business. They wanted Vicky to marry one of the partner’s daughters but learnt that Vicky was in love with Meena. They sought to kill Meena but failed in their attempt. Towards the end, Raisaheb realizes his fault. And as luck would have it, Vicky and Meena get married.

This is very much exciting for each and every action fan as there is not even a moment in the movie which is not thrilling or exciting. WWE fans will just love it. The movie is very fast paced and it goes very smooth and straight so that we don’t have any difficulties. It is a gem in the Khiladi series even if the first one had most suspense than all. The songs are good even if not the best. The soundtrack adds to the thrill.

The movie starts with a fight between The Undertaker and Crush who are the fighters of the underworld dons Madam Maya (Rekha) and King Don (Gulshan Grover) respectively and the latter fails and thus lose five million dollars which was the bet.

Akshay (Akshay Kumar) comes to the movie searching for his one and only young brother - even if he doesn’t seem that much young. He was trapped by Maya herself and was wanted for murders which he had no part in. Akshay then tries to join Maya’s gang and search for his brother in which he succeeds.

He seems to be using his brains very much and takes advantage of each and every situation. He pretends to love her avoiding his earlier sweet heart Priya (Raveena Tandon) who is also the sister of Maya. He is even successful in setting the dead man (Undertaker) against Maya with his word power.

What will happen when Madam Maya comes to know that Akshay had been cheating her? Will she come to know it? Will Akshay Kumar be able to save or atleast see his brother again? What will be the state of Priya? What will be King Don and the ultimate monster the Undertaker have in store for them? Will Akshay face the same fate of Crush? Just see the movie and get the answers…..

Bunty and Babli are two avid dreamers. Two free souls born into caged small town realities. They grow weary of being two specks on the horizon. They desire the horizon itself. And so they pack their aspirations in worn out bags, whip a scarf of confidence around their proud necks and set forth. On a journey across the length and breadth of the country, spinning circles around the people they meet. Born “Rakesh” in a lethargic, lead-eyed Fursatganj, he is a man of schemes, ideas, invention and restlessness. His small Uttar Pradesh town begins to feel a bit too small for his king size plans. He wants to be amongst the richest in the world. He wants to be in jacuzzis. He wants to be in limousines. He wants to be a big blip on the radar of history. He wants to be big black typo in newspaper headlines. In short, he wants out of here. In a parallel universe, in another slump-backed, crinkle nosed small town called Pankinagar, “Vimmi”, our heroine, faces the same dilemma. Does she follow the course every other young marriageable girl does? Or does she carve new fatelines on her soft as butter palms? In her mind (but in her mind alone!) she’s the foxiest thing to ever have hit a ramp. She’s the hottie the world can just gape at but never touch. She is Miss India.

So she too decides to fly the coop.Somewhere along their individual journeys, Rakesh and Vimmi meet, flogged by circumstance but unwilling to concede. In a moment of mistaken truth, “Bunty” and “Babli” are born. And the world gets turned on its head! We follow the duo through caper after caper, in which they meet rajahs, powerbrokers, shaadi bandwallahs, millionaires, investors, leaders, ministers, banjaras, elephants, explorers, hoteliers, chai boys and one very, very upset policeman! The world sits up and takes wide eyed notice of this pair. Bunty is the Rakesh that Rakesh always dreamt of being, with a delicious twist. Babli is the Vimmi that Vimmi never thought she’d become, with another delicious twist. Together they are more than the sum of their parts. Together they are spiritual gurus, bureaucrat and secretary, gangster and moll, business partners, hen pecked husband and pregnant wife, lawyer and sexually harassed client, vagabonds, caught-in-a-downpour lovers and lots, lots more. And they seem to be loving every minute of it.Their escapades play out against backdrops as varied as the Taj Mahal, the banks of the Ganges, the saffrons of Benaras, the browns of Kanpur and Lucknow, the whites of Mussoorie, the tinkling bells of Rishikesh and Hardwar, the skies of Delhi and all across the vein like network of the Great Indian railways and highways. Every mundane reality in every dusty corner of India is flushed out of its slumber by a splash of “Bunty aur Babli” excitement in this, the tale of two dreamers that blaze the sky like comets. But do not die. Like all good comets they promise to reappear again. And they do. And how they do all of that is, seriously, the stuff legends are made of.

One of the greatest classics of Indian cinema, Sholay had the longest theatrical run when first released in 1975. Sholay (Flames) tells the story of Jai (Amitabh bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra), two small time crooks called in by Thakur Baldev Singh (Sanjeev Kumar) to fight the tyranny of Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan). Thakur Baldev Singh is one of the unfortunate victims who lost his entire family to Gabbar Singh’s violence. It depicts the utter worthlessness of violence as a way of life. At the same time it is also the story of a village community who realize that non-violence does not mean cowardice, and to stand up to terror and lawless killers is the duty of every brave citizen in India.Sholay features excellent performances by Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Amjad Khan, Hema Malini and Jaya Bhaduri under the direction of Ramesh Sippy. Also featuring a timeless soundtrack score by the inimitable R. D. Burman.

He is endorsing products like never before, we had also seen him shedding sweat for Kolkata IPL, traveled from one point to another to cheer up his team, recently, he turned property dealer and sold complexes in Dubai.
Ajay Devgan is returning with the most awaited release of 2008, Golmaal Returns. He discussed about this movie and his future projects in an exclusive interview.

Ques. You return with ‘Golmaal’ again. Are you looking forward to it?

Ajay: Of course I am, because the first part was really appreciated and still people come up to me and say that they’ve formed ‘Golmaal Returns’ groups which is on the net also. When we started ‘Golmaal Returns’, we were very hesitant as it had to be funnier than or at least as funny as the first part. So there were many scripts we looked at but eventually we found one and we all thought that it was funnier than the first one.

Ques. Did Sharman Joshi’s absence make you feel vulnerable?

Ajay: Initially we were wondering how we were going to fit in Sharman in the film. But the first day when Shreyas performed, we were all at ease. I think that Shreyas is fantastic.

Ques. Are you happy that you all have a woman in your life now?

Ajay:(laughs) Yeah, you’re right. We were missing them in the first one. But the fact is that the script demanded it and female leads were not forced in ‘Golmaal Returns.’

Ques. You’ve worked with Kareena in ‘Omkara’ and now in ‘Golmaal Returns’. How did you feel working with her, again?

Ajay: It feels great. I’ve known her since many years now. It is very important for the co-actors to get along especially in a film like ‘Golmaal Returns’ because you improvise a lot where humour is concerned and when you keep jelling and then pulling each others leg, it works both ways.

Ques. Tell us a bit about the comic song where Celina holds you on the ship.

Ajay: That was really funny. You have to see it to believe it. It was a bit difficult to shoot that song but it all went well. It is the funniest song of the film.

Ques. Do you think Rohit Shetty making comedy instead of action is working for him?

Ajay: Rohit joined us as an assistant in ‘Phool Aur Kaante’. Since then, he has been with us. Then he joined Devgan Films. So as a kid brother, as a colleague and as a friend he has been with me for more than 15 years. I know he is good at action but right now he is doing good for himself by making comic films. I always knew that he had a great potential of becoming a director and that’s why he started ‘Zameen’ and now that he has proved himself, there is no looking back for Rohit.

Ques. After ‘U, Me Aur Hum’, what next Mr Director Devgan?

Ajay: I am working on a script right now. I don’t want to make films which are just regular films. It has to really come from my heart. The script has to move me. Devgan Films is also working on two or three more scripts which I won’t be directing.

Ques. How was the experience of stretching your legs between two hummers?

Ajay: I didn’t stretch my legs in between the hummer, I was standing on it. The stretching was done in ‘Phool Aur Kaante’. It was comfortable and Rohit wanted to continue where I left from ‘Golmaal’ part one where I was seen on bikes. He wanted to elaborate a more and thus went for the hummers.

Ques. You’ve won the National Awards twice but we all know that they’re under a big scrutiny. Do you think it’s losing its national pride?

Ajay: I really don’t know what happens where, and what leads to what. But I hope things remain good so that the credibility of the National Awards is maintained. That gives you a high or else they’ll fall flat.

Ques. You’re happy that Studio 18 is marketing and distributing your film Golmaal Returns? Your last film saw Eros International doing the same.

Ajay: It’s not about name here. Both are good. There are so many films coming up and so many means of entertainment. Everybody is so busy. So you need to divert their attention and inform them that it’s time for some light entertainment. Though this may sound simple and easy but it’s not and Studio 18 knows it. But ultimately it’s all decided after that Friday night when reality hits you. So you really need to market your films to grab the audience’s attention in today’s time.

Ques. ‘Golmaal’ is returning two years after its prequel. Did you see the first part before you started shooting the second?

Ajay: No. The film has a very different story all together. It’s got similar characters but their characterisation is different. It’s another script at another level. It has nothing to do with part one but it will make you laugh more than part one, I’m sure.

Ques. How are you going to celebrate Diwali this year?

Ajay: By watching ‘Golmaal Returns’ I guess. Diwali is a time of happiness. That’s why I think ‘Golmaal Returns’ is releasing at the appropriate time. It’s an entertainer. So go, watch and laugh this Diwali. It’s going to be fun unlimited.

KALYUG will not really work for viewers who are not already conversant with the [Mahabharata’s] main story of the relationships and conflicts between two rival sets of first cousins. A hastily-sketched family tree in the opening sequence lays out the main characters; their epic parallels are immediately apparent to those in the know, while their sheer number can only overwhelm the uninitiated.

Kalyug was Shashi-produced and Shashi-starred, and we must shamefully admit that this time, we bought it because of Shashi’s name on the cover, not Shyam’s.

This is all very understandable, as scenes of funerals preceded the scenes of angst, hence implying that Shashi’s life was in danger. The end, which comes after several dragging scenes of yet more ambiguity, is bleak and hopeless. Even Kulbushan Kharbanda, who was playing Bal Raj (or was it Dhal Raj?), the hedonistic, fun-loving brother, was reduced to monotone seriousness.

Shashi was restrained and angsty for much of the film, very unlike his boogying mainstream trademark. Rekha had very little to do, other than appear bitchy, something which was never explained. Raj Babbar as the eldest brother was wonderfully Zen-like and calm, but we’ve never actually seen anything with Raj Babbar, so maybe he just is really Zen-like and calm. Kulbushan impressed us very much again, since we’ve now seen him run a lengthy gamut of emotions
